The reason why they are looking formal is because they want to be different from BBC and Sky news, Also the reason why they are looking formal is because some of the news that News Round do are not that serious as BBC and Sky news are more serious and live. This then draws attention to the children to the news.
why do they use simple language
Some of the news is not that interesting and serious like BBC and Sky news, Some of the news attaches kids attention like at the timecode of 1:22 they show a video of the best animated feature and that was Frozen. So they use simple language for young viewers so they can understand whats happening to the young viewers interests and this is smart because it attaches the kids attention to watching news by showing the news that interest them.
why do they challenge conventions by using bright color?
At the time code of 0:00 to 5:04 you can see that hey uses bright color so that it can attach the attentions of the audience like kids and teenagers and they want to be different from BBC and Sky because the News Round Viewers are for kids and teenagers. I would say that the News Round target audience is the age of 7-13 and although the reporter delivers some news formal. They still manage to entice and attract their target audience through the use of colour and big bold text and images.

Unit 16 - Editing Techniques
Development
Techniques
Purpose
Invisible editing also called Continuity editing- It is seamless, Continuing editing is the purpose of continually editing is to smooth. In most film It is achieved by cutting continually which emphasises smooth transition of time and space. It is hidden cuts from the audience view by editing it.
Jump cuts- A jump cuts is where they use a transition from one scene then it goes to another scene, it is like one shot is a head just facing the other way then a jump cut is where you quickly move your head the other way. The reason why they use this shot is because
Cutting on action- Cutting on action is where the editor cuts from one shot to another view that matches the first shot actions. Cutting on action gives the impression of continuous time when watching the editing film.
Cross cutting- It is used to create dramatic tension mostly in action films, it crops between two action scene. It establish action occurring at the same time in two different location. In a cross cut the camera will cut away from one action to another action, which suggest the simultaneity of these two addiction.
Matched Cut- The framing is the same but the mise en scene is different, it should be like it is continuation on the scene. It is like a trick, If the scene continues but it is cut to another scene. They use an object in the two scene so it can match and that they occupy the same place in the shot frame.
1903-
The great train robbery is a great example of a basic cut. As you can see at the time code of 1 minute and 23 seconds to 1 minutes and 25 second you can see that from one scene they just cut in to another scene and that is what basis cut is. The reason why they have done a basic cut in the 1903 is because that is the only thing the producer known at that time, a simple basic cut. Also in 1902 you can see that there are no sound in the video and they use a background music that is because sound wasn't invented in that day.So the Key technique they have used is basic cut
1920s-
In 1920s
The time and space for the audience is that the movie/video they watch became more longer. The key technique is that there is no jump cuts so it is invisible editing, it is like a montage because it just carries on going and making the audience thinks it is a continuing video. There are narrative shots like the close up, and mid shots are introduced and there are more quicker cuts for some scene. Audio was still not introduced into the the industry but editing and film technique were growing.
1940s-
Sound was introduced in the 1940s into films, characters voices and movement. They were all be able to hear the sound also musical instruments was heard. The key technique is that it is invisible editing so that makes it seamless as you can't tell the big jump cuts etc. Some of the technique have improved are the invisible cuts during the scene, Where it is hidden from the audience. Matched cut are also to starting to develop where there is many different shots in one sequence.
1960s-
America New Wave is a Hollywood or post classical Hollywood or sometime referred as The American New Waves. It is referred to the time from 1960s films like Bonnie and clyde to the early 1980's film. This film uses many improved filmmaking techniques, there is more camera movement, which follows the character movements, there are early signs of camera panning also. Unconventional editing was starting to be used such as jump cuts from each scen e
There is more camera movement which follows the character movement.
1980s-
The films uses editing technique in this scene to create tension and pace. Action movies were beginning to become popular, so was horror and blockbuster, also jump cuts are becoming very popular in filmmaking. The most popular genre in 1980s are action, and horror and the reason between that is loads of film producers make action and horror films and they have all been successful as the audience in 1980 likes it.
1990
In the 1990s there was a new editing software that introduce in the film industry and that is Final Cut pro. before final cut pro all the film producers uses the steenbeck editing which was hard as they get the film footage tape and cut it with scissors whilst with final cut pro it is easy to use with the power of technology and it makes all the film producer life easy. For Film making it has been inexpensive with all the new technology that comes out so it is easier to edit the film but it is also the camera and equipment they use in in 1990 that was also inexpensive. Boyz in the hood is an independence film and the technique they are using invisible cut so you can not see the jump cuts and the reasons they have used a different editing software which make the movie run smooth and it makes the audience seamless as they watch the movie.
2000s- today-
Avatar uses many different techniques including montage, invisible cuts and matched cuts and that has progresses through out the years made by using CGI. CGi has only been around for the past 10 years but it is used in almost every film you see in the cinema today. It creates images that can inly be made on a computer and then added on after the filming has been filmed. CGI arguably a good thing as it makes then film experiences better for the viewer, making sharper and high quality animations and techniques to entertain the audience even more. CGI stands for Common Gateway Interface and it is standard method use to dynamic content on web page and application.

South Park Muslim Sensitivity
What I saw South Park Muslim Sensitivity episode I know they were taking the mic out of the at the Muslim culture and the reason of that is because you are not suppose to draw/animate the muslim prophet because no one know what he looks like but in this clip at the timing of 2 minutes and 35 second they have just drawn/animated off Mohammed. As they was giving out the facts about muslim.
I would say that it is the media fault because I think that they are running out
Big Brother why is it unethical
Arguing
Swearing
Racism- it could offend the people who are watching it/
they have specifically selected shots
Big Brother is unethical because they dont care if they are arguing they just want entertainment for the audience. Also as Jade Goody and Shilpa was arguing, There were other celebs in the house laughing and agreeing with Jade with all her racist comment. Many sponsor for big brother have been canceled because of the racist remarks, Channel 4 has received an additional 3,000 complaints racism and bullying by the big brother housemates. The reaction in India was insane as protester took to the street of India and burned effigies (Picture) of the show organiser. In my opinion i would say that.
Positive- Entertainment for the audience,
Negative- Arguing, Swearing, Racism- Could offend people who are watching it
_________________________________________________________________________________
Should or Should be Shown
In my opinion I would say that execution should be on Tv because it is what the people have voted to watch and because it is a real life thing so people should know what is happening around the world. For abortion it was half and half and the reason is because half of the people dont want to watch it because it is murder and the viewers dont want to watch it but people say you should watch it because it is reality, the viewers can see what people on TV are going through because it is real life and you know to be careful.
BBFC
The BBFC which stands for British Board of film classification and it was founded in 1912 how ever the video recording act was introduced in 1984. For 72 years video was release to the public without a age classification. Any video recording sold in the UK, had to have a classification by someone.
The Human Centipede 2
The BBFC has rejected this film because it was controversial and according to the BBFC they said that the concept was tasteless and disgusting and it is sexual violence but the producer said it was art, it is not real, it is make belief. The film maker opinion to the BBFC was shocking as he said "My dear people it is just a F**king movie" and "It is not real, it is all make belief."
I agree with the BBFC because if some kids watches this they will be scarred for life or they might copy the film and that will be bad for underage children, This movie should not been watch by the audience because it is disturbing for the viewers , The producer said the movie was art and I disagree with him because it seems to me that it is all messed up and the producer is messed up.
- Gore- It might scare them, Strong Language, blood,
- Adult Humour - Underage, Strong language ,
- Aggressive Violence

Adult Humour- Underage, Strong Language,
Ethics
Ethics is where they show what is good for individuals and society
Ethics covers these types of dilemmas
How to live a good life
Their rights to responsibilities
The language of what is right and wrong
What TV programs promote good moral ethics
- Corination Street
- Blackfish
- Ellen talk shows
- Teletubbies
- Frozen
- Balomory
- Bob the builder
- etc.
There are many more programs that promotes moral ethics. Mainly kids shows shows good moral ethics like Bob the builder and Teletubbies because they show friendship.
Films that promotes bad moral ethics
Family Guy
South Park-
Celebrity Juice
Should TV and films be more ethical?
TV and Films needs to be more ethical because some TV programs are giving out the wrong message to younger viewers with foul language and adult humor. South Park is an example, The reason why I have chosen South park is because they are sending the wrong message to viewers with Adult humour, Strong Language so then the viewers will copy them and they will start saying bad words. Here is an example, South park have been threaten by Muslims in the US for make a Muslim Prophet joke about Mohammed in their 200th episode and I agree with them because it is disrespecting the Muslims Culture and race by drawing one of the Muslim prophet in a episode and is taking the Mick out of it.
Can TV and Film be blamed for slipping ethics of society?
In my opinions TV and Films are important to the society we live in but there are some that can effect in it ways, but not all TV and Films can be blamed but some can, some are and have been reported to be offensive to the viewers. Here is an example, South park is an excellent example as the TV program have been reported and sued many times and continues to be sued and been reported. South park is a popular american TV show and have been watched millions of time because of it adult humour, but the humour can sometime be over the top and this could effect society and more worrying religion which has already sparked outrage which I think it is disrespectful towards the Muslims religion.
