Unit 1 Assignment 1

Unit 1 Assignment 1

Time
A shooting schedule is a project plan of each and every day's shooting for a film production. It is also a list of bookings that the studio has made to shoot their film, here are the following things they include cameras, settings, props and most important when they are going to shoot during the time they have. So it is important to have a shooting plans because it makes the film more organised and all the crew know what they are doing on the set and off the set.

Here is an example of what a shooting schedule look like and as you can see the schedule includes what each cast are doing in different scene, the date when they have to shoot, what kind of scene they have to do in the film, the camera shot in each scene, different props etc. So if the film is more organised then the film will turn out better than an unorganised film which does not follow a shooting schedule. To use music in any film you have you have to get clearance to allow the music into a film this could take a very long time or a short time depending on the complex of the music you want in your film which also means that you have to do a lot of negotiating. You will also have to find out who is the rightful owner of the music and who are they?

Finance
If you want to make a good documentary you will need to have a good budget to make the documentary or film, but firstly they need to get the money for making arrangement and they need to hire some crews, actors/actress  and the settings. Morgan spurlock himself did something incredible and that was Morgan Spurlock has funded the documentary 'super size me' with his own left over money from a TV series called MTV and Morgan Spurlock decided to begin making that documentary using his own left over money. To use a clip or a music from any other film it is roughly about $800 for up to 30 minutes of footage or the music or they could pay $10 for a 30 second clip or music, but to make a documentary you need the money so most of the producers can ask the channel or the studio for the correct fund to make it.

Personnel
The digital artist in the documentary 'Super Size Me' Johan Tobias has worked with some other TV series and documentary which has gave him benefit of the doubt to appear on the crew as he knows what he is doing on what he does.It is very good to get the right crew because the crew are experience so that means that there will be no mistake by the crew because there are professional and the production can be quicker than a bunch of crew with no experience in what they are doing. This will also benefit to the documentary becoming a success, getting the right crew means that  not only it will be a great documentary it also means that the crew member can get along with the people who do the setting, camera operation, lighting etc. they can make the documentary with no issue.

location
In a documentary, film or a TV show you obviously need to be set in a right certain location also you need to have permission foe where ever you want to film in that location but sometimes in the public as well. In the documentary 'super size me' Morgan Spurlock has have to book the certain place to film here is an example for some interviews, or from the public and the main location McDonald he has to visit a lot of states in America just to see the massive amount of over weight people that are living in the US and to also find out if that if it is the fattest country. It is also important to get permission as the public is being film , if they do not have permission from the people it will be uncomfortable and they also have the right not to be film without permission.

facilities
A good documentary need to have the right and specialized  equipment here are some example of the right equipment Camera, Sound, Sound mixers etc. The documentary 'super size me' needed a Sony DSR-PD150 camera but the documentary was mainly handheld, That certain camera cost up to £700-£800 to buy, to hire the camera it will cost about £50 a day and it will cost about £300 a week, it is important to have the exact right equipment because if a crew member does not have the right equipment like camera then the documentaries will be poor and the quality of the documentary will be bad also this may effect the rating of the documentary. Getting these equipment are very vital when making your documentary as you want the documentary to look good.

materials/copyright
In the documentary 'super size me' Morgan Spurlock uses an advert from the McDonald which shows a cartoon and the McDonald character 'Ronald McDonald' which he is use for entertaining the children at McDonald and on TV. To use this footage they would have asked permission to view the clip how ever long it is, they could use it for 10 second, 30 second or a minute it does not matter, you research the what studio made this clip and ask them for permission to use it in the documentary. Studio often ask for the producer to pay for what they are showing, because of copyright there are step by step instruction on how to get clearance to view the music and the clip.

  •  Determine permission requirement. copy right law allows for fair use of the copyright material without permission. Two widely accepted areas of fair use are comment (educational purpose) and parody. small portions of a long work can be expected for these uses. Any use that is similar to the intended use of the author.
  • .Identify the copyright holder. In some cases, the copyright holder will be authors, artists, musician and peet or whoever created the work. But for money the publish works, the  publisher holds the copy right. If the copyright is not clearly marked on the work the U.S. Copyright office maintain as online search function that allows users to browse through registered copyrights.
  • Make preliminary contact. The process for getting permission will vary depending on the copyright holder. Here is an example a self employed photographer will probably have a less process than a major publishing form. The first contact can be informal by phone calls, email and letter.
  • Send the written request after the initial contact there might be some negotiation over the terms. The request might not be granted at all, or there might be cost involved. Professional publisher will most likely to send a form and that must be filled out and submitted. Final permission should come in a written form to protect the right to use the copyrighted property.

If this or any other documentary needed music or any other popular music they would have to contact the artist and ask them to use the song for the film/documentary, but this can be sometimes hard as the artist may take time to reply or not reply at all if this is a low budgeted documentary or that the artist is more interested in fame and success than giving producer.

Materials and the contribution
Super size me needed many different people to be interviewed for the documentary to make it more interesting here is an example he went to many doctors in America, he went to health adviser and many more during in the documentary which he then interviewed about his health and how he was doing what he did could benefit his life later in a couple of weeks, months or could of years. He would have booked these appointment months before the movie was shot which contributes why on why they need needed them to make the documentary, but this was not more importantly he trusted some of the American public to speak on his documentary, but this was not planned at all relying on the public. He also ask the audience and the audience gave different opinion about it and they can express them and there feeling in the interview.

Unit 24 Assignment 2

Mood Bored

Character bio: Alex who is a male and is a college boy. He is 17 years old and he wears casual cloths and love to play game and watch film. He music style is not that very good as he listen to strange songs,  he loves to play football and he sports FC Barcelona. His favorite film and game genre is action, adventure and horror. He is a quite dopey.

The second character is a male and his name is Josh. He is 17 years old and he is a training to be the best doctor in town. He loves to play games on his phone or on his console and he is not afraid of anything like blood. He is quite a bit of a nerd and he also sport FC Barcelona

The 3rd character is also a male and his name is jack and he is the brother of Josh he is 16 years old and he is a trained football player. He plays for his own club AKA his favrioute football team is Manchester City. He loves playing games and love watching films and have a bad phobia of insects

Act 1:
At the starting of my film there is going to be 2-3 cast. There will be a college boy called Alex who is a average teen who wears normal casual cloths he is quite smart and is quite afraid . The other cast that will be in my film are doctor They are not afraid of any Thing like blood they wear casual cloths as well but they wear a White doctor lab coat the college boy has finished his college and walking home and the other 2 are still at their lab.  There will be a inciting incident because Alex is walking home and he get kidnapped so there is an incident. The setting will be based in a cellar where there will be a lot of insect and it is like an old ancient history cellar so that will be good for a torture room the other setting will be in the outside car park and at home and many more setting location so that will be good for a horror and parody film.

Also the props for the film are very dangerous like a knife, a wooden chair with cuff locks and many more these prop setting will  make the movie look good because they are the right equipment for a horror and a parody version of saw it will make it look all realistic a these prop look like they will kill you. There are also other setting for many scene like the costume of the unknown who kidnaps the 3 casts and make them play games for their life.

Act 2:
Half way through the film at the mid point of the film there will be a escalating obstacle as something bad will happen to the 3 cast as all of them get kidnapped and they have to do a mini game to save their life if not they will die but there will be a twist and the twist is that when they are dumped in a unknown location what the Unknown did not know that the teen boy was a close friend to the Unknown mother until the end also as they will not find a solution to their problem and that will a good surprise for you audience. In the mid point of my film there will be a lot of action and a lot of blood plus the stake will be a lot higher in a horror film so there will be a lot of action horror and blood but remember it is going to be a parody so there are lots of scene that will make you laugh. They will have to do the challenge if they do not do the challenge they will lose their life and they do not find a solution when they get kidnapped they just have to carry on with the mini game.

Act 3
At the end of the movie you can see that there will be a twist with the 3 character as they all meet together for the final round of the Unknown mini game and they are all friend since high school but the doctor didn't know that the Alex was a killer and the thing that kidnapped them and that will be a surprise also at the ending there will be a open ending and that means that will make the audience more unanswered question and they will think about it for a very long time. Also at the end of the of the film you can see that there will be a brilliant cliff hanger so that will be at the end when the 3 character found something that can save them and it will stop there so that will be a good cliff hanger because the audience will be wanting more to find out what happen plus there will be a good twist in that scene so that will make the movie good because the twist will change the entire story and will confuse you audience. There might be an obstacle in the cast way as they walk ion a dead end so that will be the the obstacle in the cast way. So at the end there will be a cliff hanger because that makes the movie more interesting and will leave the audience wanting more.

Research Diary

1- For the cast in my movie I have chosen my friends to be in it as they love my idea of a film and love to be in it. I have 2 male person and 1 female as it is traditional to have a female in a horror film. The age of the male are 17 years old and the age of the female is 18 years old.  I have have ask teens what do they wear when they go college and 100% of the people said casual cloths1 of the male will be playing the character of Alex  a simple boy in college and the other 2 will be doctors. Here are some examples of cloths that they will wear in the film.

2-I have researched that 35 billion people watches horror film and 97.8 billion people watches parody so they will like my film. I have also research that how bad is some of the horror film and 90% of people saying that some horror film are scary and make them scare but the 10% people say that some horror film are over the top on death scene so after i have read this research i will try to make that 10% better horror film than the one that it is over the top. Also I have done some research to see how many percent do people laugh at parody and the result is that 99.5% laugh at remake so after looking at this answer I have released that people do like parody and horror.
How many people watch horror movie

I think that wiki answer is nor reliable because it is from Wikipedia and from what i have learn is that people can make up story about anything that may be true or may be false and the audience may believe it so that is why it is nor reliable. Also any member of the audience can answer the question and put anything that they know nothing off. They could have copy the answer from a different website that mite be wrong and just put it on Wiki answer.

3- I have done some research on the internet and the research was what is the common weapon used in a horror film and i have found several result from a website and here are the weapon that been used i a horror film. Gun, Knives, Chainsaw, Objects from anywhere, Acid/Toxic etc. So with this research I now know that anything can kill anyone in a horror film but mine is a parody so I can use anything to kill someone and that will make the audience laugh.
Weapons

I think that http://voices.yahoo.com/best-horror-movie-weapons-5779256.html is quite reliable as it just tells you what was the most common weapon in a horror film and it just tell you the answer so I would say that it is reliable and it is useful if you want to know what is the most common weapon they use in a horror film.

I have done some research to see when does it turns dark in Ashton Under Lyne and from the website of google the answer  is at 8.59pm so it is quite late but it will do with the evening time as thats when the horror starts but i need to have some morning sun shine scene so I have done some research from the internet on google to see when does the sun come up and it is at 5:09 Am so that means i can film 16 hours to film in the morning for a morning scene and i can even do an evening scene for the start of the horror.

4- I have done some research and I have found the perfect location for the half of the scene for the first half of the scene and the first part of the film is on the street at night time where every thing look scary and then in the cast house so that will be normal. then on the second part they are in different location in a woods or in the cellar it will be sunny but for the woods the tree will cover the sun and make it look more terrifying and in the cellar that will be  dark but there will be a low voltage of light so that will make it look scary because the cellar is scary and the final bit of the film they are in the different location like a car park, in a middle of a street and they have to do a mini games to save there life. Also I have asked some of my friend, neighbours and people on the street saying where is the best location for a horror scene and the 50% saying cellar and 50% saying in the forest so i have decided that one cast will be in a cellar the other cast will be in the forest and the last cast will be on the street.

5- The target audience for my film is the age for teen and adult like 13 and over as it is a horror film sop there will be blood and some other scary stuff but it is a parody so the age of 13 and over is fine as some of the scene will be historical and it will be funny. There are some film that are the same genre horror and comedy here are some example of films with the same genre A Haunted house 1 and a haunted house 2, odd tho mas, vampire academy and many more so all of these age rating are 13 and over because the genre is scary horror and funny comedy. I have done some research asking the age rating of a horror film like saw to

(I asked people what is the age range to watch a horror film and i have made the pie chart for the result.)

Treatment

All of the horror film follow the same structure when they hear something and they just go and see what it is. It is just stupid why would you go and wonder about when you hear a noise it is just dumb and thats with all of the horror/scary film they just do the same thing hear a noise and they go and investigate it they are. The main character should use their head and know when to go out and investigate it is just stupid. They just follow on one structure hear or see something they go out and investigate it and they just get scared or killed and that does scare the audience and make them not to watch a horror film but it is stupid they just keep on following one structure they need to change it and make it look realistic .

Alex is an ordinary guy, he is an enthusiastic college guy he is excited for all the new release games and movie that comes out and love to film a movie but there isa dark secret in his head that no one knows not even him he is afraid, terrified of Scary stuff that happen in real life and in fantasy. He just want to pass his course and get a job about games and film but what he doesn't know that someone is spying him know all his family problems, his moves and tactics, his lifestyle and how he reacts to any scary stuff. One dreadful day Alex is walking back from school with his headphones on so he can not hear anything but he is getting followed by a mysterious creature. The mysterious creature is called unknown as no one know what he is who he is and what he do so when Alex reaches home his family was all at work so he was home alone fir a couple of our so he cracked open a can on Coca-Cola and had his headphone back on listening to his badly choice of song but what he didn't know is that  the unknown has followed him. The 2 doctors are very educated as they are doctor and surgeon and they are both enthusiastic about their job but they have no interest in movies and games but what they don't know is that the unknown is here watching their every move  and wants revenge for killing it's grandma in the 1990's so the unknown wants revenge so the only thing he can think of is kidnap the 2 doctors dump them in a strange un-located place and toy with them until they know they are wrong for killing its grandmother so that is the unknown plan.

In my film there will be a sequential as it is in order and it will start from the start and end at the end so it will be a normal type of film s it will make sense for the audience for the audience but there will be a flashback as one of the character (The Unknown) has a exposition telling his back story of what happen with its mother so that is why it is having revenge on the 2 doctor as the 2 doctor are very close with the mother and no one know that she had a baby. There will be another flashback as the unknown also have target for the 17 year old kid that always hangs around with its mother so the unknown has got some revenge for him as he and his family thought that the baby was dead when the mother die but no the baby is still alive so for the narrative there will be Linear as it starts from the beginning and end at the beginning and end at the end, There will be some flashback showing the audience what happen before the movie even came out and why has it started from there so the audience will understand the back storey of the film and it will have an ending as it is an open ending so there will be a second part to the film so the audience will be wanting more to see what happens to the character, what happen next who is the next targets etc etc.

The target audience  for  my short film are 13 years old and over as it is a horror film but is also a parody. The reason why I have chosen a horror and parody is because when you watch a horror film all the deaths are to over the top and all if the horror film are stupid as they do stupid thing so that is why in my film I will be taking the mick out of the actual film saw so it will be a parody because everyone loves a parody if everything like music, films, documentary and TV program so the target of audience will love to watch a parody of the most gut wrenching over the top horror film saw. For the actual saw film there target audience is for teens and over as there are a lot of violence in the whole of the film and it is not suitable for children under 18 so I want the people who are under the age limit of the film and enjoy it with the comedy that is why I have chosen to do a parody and a horror so the target audience will love it even if there under age.

Unit 22 Assignment 1 single camera production update Dans

Do you know what single camera production is? Well let me tell you a single camera production is the type of production involving only one camera to produce an entire show. The reason why they use single camera is because the budget for one camera instead of multiple cameras so that is why some productions uses one camera. Also another reason why some productions uses single camera is because it is easier to to gather all the shots together as they are all on one camera and the size of the crew is quite good as there is only one camera so you don't need a lot of crew only a minimum crew.

Here is an example of a single camera production The Inbetweeners the inbetweeners is a single camera production because they only use a single camera to produce a TV series also they use a single because with a single camera you can film in all different section and the whole production of inbetweeners are famous for single camera shots like pans.

Here is an examples of a multiple camera production News and Talk show because they have more than one camera so it is a multi camera production also it is inside a studio or live outside. Also the reason why news, talk shows and films uses multi camera production is because they can various of good angle to films like on one camera it can be straight in the middle the second and third camera can be at the side to get a side shots of the producers and with multi camera you can do zoom in or pan in to the presenter and the third camera can just stay where it is and have a normal shot. So who ever is in the vision mixer booth they can swap between these camera to make it good. Also with single camera and multi camera they might have to edit the footage live.

There are many formats for single camera production here are some examples of some formats in single camera production there are serial which are drama that runs for like 3 or 4 nights here is a example of a serial drama The agent of S.H.I.E.L.D the agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. is a drama that runs for 3 times a week. Series is a one off drama and here is a example of a one of drama The white horse the white horses is a series drama because it is planned a long time ago so they several time to choose the right camera angle to film the program and it is future events or the performance. There are genre which is drama, comedy, horror etc. Here is a TV show that is a genre of a horror and that is The walking dead, for the genre of a TV comedy Big Bang Theory, big bang theory is a comedy genre because they do funny stuff that makes the audience laugh and it is a single camera so they take a couple of shots to see where is the best angle for the program , for the genre of a TV drama  Breaking bad braking bad is a crime drama so the genre is drama but it has only been going on for 5 seasons Breaking bad is a multi camera production and the reason why it is a multi camera production is that they can afford to buy more camera to make the program look good and they have various shots to make the program looks good and there is many more genre TV show.

Also there is also one- which is a one off film and here is an example of a one off film DareDevil is a one off film because the producer has not made another film about the dare devil  so there has only been one dare devil film. The reason why these format fits a single camera production is because some of the formats like series and one off films are like one off so they will not make the same storyline for the films or serials it is a cliff hanger that makes the audience wants to see more but the genre of a TV or film and serial that go's on with the some change on the story line.

There are lots of narrative structure here are the examples of narrative structure The first one is analysing film and TV, Sequential and Linear as a form of a line, in order and starts at the begin and ends at the end here are some examples, Non Liner starts in the middle, Flashback are exposition and they are like a back story, Realist is what happens in real life, Anti realist is that it is not real and ending is a open or closed ending here are some example for a liner and a non liner I have chosen a non linear narrative TV show and it is called how i net your mother and for a linear TV show i have chosen
Also there are lots of TV programme and movie that has flashback here are some examples of some Tv programme and movie that has flashback for the move men in black 2 has a flashback in the middle of the film so that makes the audience understand the film a bit more and for the flashback for the TV programme flash back. Flash back is a programme that just a bunch of flashback back that makes a back story. There are others narrative structure like realist and the example for that is a documentary called Impostor. Impostor is a real life documentary of a crime scene about 12 years ago in the US here are example of linear film that starts from the start and ends at the end spiderman is Sequential as it is in order because it starts at the beginning and ends at the end. For the Non linear James bond is a non linear as it starts in the middle of the film and that is something new for the audience to watch. For the narrative structure Anti- real Star Wars is not real as it is a space opera and they are in space so it is not real  and finally the last narrative structure is ending and Eastender is  a ending as the story has no apparent beginning middle or ends in term of actual event.

Many film maker have their own story telling through different techniques to make a film here are some example of techniques sound, editing, light, camera, genre etc. If they are making a horror film like saw the techniques for a horror film will be like the sound will be slow with a haunting tune that will make the audience terrified the Light in a horror film is a low Key lighting etc. But if they are making a comedy film the music will be a jolly and catchy tune the lighting will be bright so for different genre have their own technique.

A single camera production can be easily be linear as well as non linear as the scene are normally filmed in sections rather than flowing which is what multi camera production do.
The difference between single camera and multi camera is that single camera can only get one shot of angle when they are filming but multi camera is where there are various of angle the camera can go and you can get great shot from various angle.

                                                                                                                      Multi camera production

Single camera production

                                                        Multi camera production

Low Key Lighting

Here is an example of a low key lightning, the reason why horror movie uses this technique is because they want to create tension in the movie. Low Key Lighting is where they black out all the scene in the background and only have a single light or multiple light on someone face and that gives out the tension in the audience. Some actors uses facial action to create terror  to audience so they audience can be terrified. It is not just films that use low key lighting, Photography uses low key lighting and Television uses Low key lighting as well, It is not just Horror films that uses low key lighting, Action films uses a lot of low key lighting,

Here is an example where they use Low key Lighting in a film

Insidious is a great film where they uses low key lighting because it is a horror film and mainly all the horror stuff is in at night time/ when it is dark. In the video at the time off 1:26-1:28 you can see that it is night time/ in a dark place and the female actor only have a lamp and the lamp is only shining on her face, so the audience can see the tension in her face and can be terrified when she gets attacked or something scary might happen.

Unit 30 A1

The ASA stands for Advertising  Standards Authority and they are the United Kingdom independent regulator of advertising in all across the media plus they don't only do TV ad they also do radio ad.  About the regulation? The ASA work is to include acting on complaints and proactively checking the media to take action against misleading, harmful or offensive advertisements, sales, promotions and direct marketing. The ASA always actively checks advertisement in all of the media and regularly conduct surveys of advertisement published by sectors. Also together with the CAP they work to support the industry to help them to get their ads right before they are publish.

If the advertisement has appeared what they will do is that they regulate after an advertisement have appeared because even the though many steps are taken to ensure advertisement are in line with codes before they are published or before they are aired, consumers do have the right to complain about the advertisement that they have seen  which can be made to misleading, harmful or offensive. So the ASA are responsible for regulates adverts. Their mission is that all of the advertisements in all media is legal, it has to be decent and it has to be honest and truthful so they can benefits their consumers. Most adverts are cleared by the clear cast.

The Asa have to look at the codes and here is some examples of the rules that the asa always have to look at and update it as well. They have the rule of children, health, medicine, religion, privacy, alcohol, betting and many more.

Here are some examples of banned adverts by the asa-
http://www.theguardian.com/media/2014/jan/08/lucozade-sport-campaign-gareth-bale-banned-advertising
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W56IGW0tLkU

The reason why the asa have banned a multimillion-pound because all the footballers, rugby players, coaches etc. saying that the lucozade hydrates  is better than water and people was complaining that it is not so the asa have banned this adverts and it is like a false advertising as they are saying that lucozade is better than water. The structure in this ad is a series as there are many lucozade ads that are quite the same The technique is quite hidden but it is overt as well for the overt in the advert when they have a break or at the starting it shows that they are having lucozade instead of water  and they are wearing the lucozade T-shirt so that is overt but it I hidden as well as they show the lucozade at the end with all the description  and the characteristics I would  say that the characteristics is better than others as the advert is saying that lucozade is better than water and any other drink.

http://www.theguardian.com/media/2013/jul/10/irn-bru-push-up-bra-ad

the second advert the asa have banned is the iron bru advert they have put down in quote "A TV ad for soft drink like irnbru featuring a mother showing off her push up bra to her son friends and have more than 170 complaints'' this ads was offensive and irresponsible as the mother and the young men was sexual and inappropriate, other people complained saying that the ad was sexist and demeaning to women. The structure form for this series for the series there have been many ad about irn bru but not like this one because it is different. The techniques they have used in this advert is overt as they show the irnbru drink from the starting to the end and for the characteristics I think it is brand culture as they are saying that if you drink irnbru it will get you through things. The style for the irn bru ad is humorous as the mum is showing off her push up bra to her son friends and it is funny because the friends like it also it is a bit surreal as it is weird to drink an irn bru and say stuff that you don't mean to your mum when you know that it is embarrassing.

This advert is about coke and the target audience for this advert is for everyone like teenagers, adults, pensioners and even kids. The reason why I would say it is for kids as well is because the advert is animated with poler bears and it is quite funny so that will catch the attention of kids.

The reason why all of these ads uses the same structure, the techniques is because all of these advert wants to be the most popular brand in the world and no one to forget it. They also want their product to be the best and nothing can match it so that is why they have all these special effect, camera shot , popular and catchy sound, having celebrity in the ads because they want all their fan in different genre to buy their product. They uses camera shot because all of these ads want to show the best side of their product, They uses popular song because so it can be updated in the product they sell and it can also be catchy that can never get out of their brain, the reason why some of the advert are edited and have special effect is because they want their advert to be funny and to be cool with all the special effect. That is why they have added the same structure and techniques because they want their product to be well known.

The reason why people like some of the advert is because these advert are trying to be special as they use all the latest and catchy music so you the viewers can remember the song in your head. Also lots of adverts have different camera shot so they can make the product look good in every direction so the audience can look at it from back to front and they can see that it will still look good in any direction. The reason why people watch advert and then decides to buy it is because when they have to look at the advert to see what so special about it like if there is a celebrity in the advert, what does the product do, does the music matches in with the ad and it is catchy, what can you use it for etc. The audiences look at these thing and then they decides if they still want it or not that what makes them if they want to buy it or not.

Comparison
The comparison between the coke advert and the Lexus IS advert is that the coke advert is aimed at the younger people who like coke but it is for older people as well it is a popular drink as in the lexus IS advert that is aimed at car people and I would say the late teens because they like to have fast car and just to put the loud music on so they can relax and they can chill. As you can see the coke advert you can tell that the form is animated as there are 3d cartoon bears in the advert as in the lexis is advert you can tell that the form for the advert is like a documentary type that it tells and shows the info of the car but with no words in the advert. For the coca-cola advert the style of the advert is a humorous type as there are 3D animated cartoon bears that wants a bottle of coke and one bear is sliding around to save the coke and that is funny for any age as it is quite funny but the style of the car advert is surreal as it is strange in the advert that there is a ballerina in the advert dancing that does not make any sense for the viewer and it is different. Finely the technique they have for the coke advert is overt as you can see the main focus of the product for the whole of the advert as the lexus advert the technique they have use is is quite hidden and overt as you can see see the car and not. The reason why all these advert uses the same structure like the same camera shot is because they all want their  advert to be the best and to beat all the other brands thats why these ads are like the same. Some advert are different as they dont have the same structure or have the same technique some of the adverts just want to be plain and simple but 90% of the advert have got the same structure and technique because they want the viewer to buy the product again and again because some of the product are good some are pointless and that whats makes the advert exciting or not .

Evaluation
All of the techniques in advertising are effective in some different ways, The structure of the advert is where most will start. A narrative is very similar to a documentary advert, it is simply a story which involves or doesn't involve what the advert is all about. The structure is very successful with the football boots advert, The advert I have chosen are different to one another using different techniques, characterstics and styles, In my opinion they were all successful in the advertising business as they all have different techniques to make product good. Most of these advert I have chosen have used these techniques simply to be different to others or to compete with other companies. Companies like to be different when they are advertising their product to make the audience/viewer watch something different, something they will talk about for a very long time.
