Unit 30 tasks

The ASA stands for Advertising  Standerds Authority and they are the United Kingdom independent regulator of advertising in all across the media.  About the regulation? The ASA work is to include acting on complaints and proactively checking the media to take action against misleading, harmful or offensive advertisements, sales, promotions and direct marketing. The ASA always actively checks advertisement in all of the media and regularly conduct surveys of advertisement published by sectors. Also together with the CAP they work to support the industry to help them to get their ads right before they are publish.

If the advertisement has appeared what they will do is that they regulate after an advertisement have appeared because even the though many steps are taken to ensure advertisement are in line with codes before they are published or before they are aired, consumers do have the right to complain about the advertisement that they have seen  which can be made to misleading, harmful or offensive. So the ASA are responsible for regulates adverts.
